MSMobiles owes TCPMP devs an apology

I read this news post (http://msmobiles.com/news.php/4554.html) today @ MSMobiles and was totally shocked by their statements that claimed TCPMP not worth downloading and "doesn't bring anything essentially more than Windows Mobile Player".

They also claimed that the TCPMP software wasn't true freeware because ads were hosted on TCPMP site and "one must go through several pages, each with many advertisements". I was able to download the new version after an exhausting TWO CLICKS, navigating a total of two web pages!

I find MSMobiles inflamatory "news posts" to be an insult to both their readers and their victims. I posted my rant at the MSMobiles site and requested that they apologize to the developers of TCPMP. I suggest that anyone else who finds their tactics offensive do the same, and also if you haven't yet done so, consider making a PayPal donation to the TCPMP development folks here: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download

Jacek should not be taken seriously. He's seriously suffering from inferiority complex. One of his targets are Finns - he was fired from Nokia because he was just plain incompenent, and now he is spreading blatant lies and stubborn negative propaganda about Finns and Finland.

Dunno why Picard has also become one of his targets. Prolly because of Jacek's inferiority complex? Picard is successful and has a huge fan community. Jacek, on the other hand, doesn't have. This may be the main reason.

But, seriously, Jacek isn't worth even considering.

I followed the link, and the site really does make the comments that he alleges, and I agree that some of these comments are rather unfair.

The one here or at MSMobiles? If the latter, the indignation is on the part of the original poster here. Hopefully galt will learn to just ignore jacek. It's easier on the blood pressure, and just as effective.

Oh I see, I think I was confused about who Jacek is.

So people aren't upset at gait for his refutation after all? His post was a bit inflammatory, but he's got his facts in order.

The guy continued attacking MVP's because, according to him, they are "uncritical" and "will not tell you" that some models (in this case, the 700w) has serious problems (for example, the RAM size).

As a new MVP in the Mobile Devices category, I need to say this guy is really crazy. I've heavily crititized for example the rx1950 (and now, the 700w) because of its 32M RAM and the WM operating system because of its long-outdated and useless limited process model. I've still received the MVP status. Therefore, stating "anyone that critizes Microsoft or any device running any MS operating system won't receive the MVP status" is simple ********.

Yes, that nut is always attacking MVPs. I think it's because he wanted to become one, but has not been so named. So, he feels angry and bitter at all MVPs.

One side effect of Internet discussion boards, newsgroups, etc., is that they have become a soapbox for all kinds of nuts, trolls, and various crazies, a way for them to feel important!

Yup, the guy just doesn't understand he should do something *real* in order to become a MVP.

Look at his "reviews" (which consist of, in general, some screenshots - check out for example his MultiIE 4 "review" - and nothing else - now, compare them to a decent, preferably comparative review like those of mine) and remarks full of severe factual mistakes (Centrino (http://msmobiles.com/f/viewtopic.php?t=13083) or MultiIE4 Smartphone compatibility (http://msmobiles.com/f/viewtopic.php?t=14406), anyone? ;).

To become a MVP, one has to produce something *really* cool and revolutionary and has to help people - not just produce some pathetic screenshots titled a "review" and asking every single Microsoft employee for MVP status (example here (http://msmobiles.com/f/viewtopic.php?t=14509)) he runs into. I certainly don't understand why he doesn't understand this simple fact.

(And I haven't even mentioned his bias and attacks against everything and everyone else...)
