Over the last four years, I've probably spent at least $800 in Pocket PC software (possibly up to $1000). It just occurred to me that if I was into gaming, considering my purchasing habits, that amount would probably be in the $2500-$3000 range. 8O

The folks over at PocketGamer gave me hope that you can play this game on my devices with 4-way gamepads.

Does the demo install leave a .cab file on your hard drive? AS and I haven't been getting al0ng lately.

Anything you install via AS places a .CAB file at some point on your PC.

If I cannot find a .CAB installer, I just install using the PC Installer, let Activesync start up and ask me if I want to install to the default path. Instead of answering the prompt, I use Windows Explorer to browse to C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync and locate the subfolder that holds the .CAB installer that will be synched to the PDA.

I copy the .CAB to another folder, and then on the Activesync screen, I choose CANCEL, and then remove/uninstall the app from Activesync. I then keep a copy of the .CAB on my 4GB CF (in case I ever need to re-install while on the road), and another copy in an archive folder on my PC. No more relying on Activesync and a cradle to (re)install apps! This has worked successfully 100% of the time for me. This works regardless of whether AS is connecting to your PDA properly or not.

Actually, there a few apps that don't install via cab files. TextMaker, PlanMaker and eReader are among them.
