So what spurs the "Wow"? Well, it's the size initially. The Bluespoon AX2 is really tiny and very light, so tiny in fact that it seems almost out of place with its surroundings. For example, when you plug in the charging cable, it feels like you're plugging the Bluespoon into the end of the cable rather than the cable going into it. If you lift one end of the cable, the headset is dragged around like a tiny rag doll. . . .it's that lightweight. .. . To be precise the AX2 weighs in at 10g (>1/3oz), that's the same as a couple of 'quarters'. Try putting a couple in your ear; that's what the Bluespoon feels like."</i><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/bluespoonAX2.jpg" /><br />Tiny rag dolls and sticking coins into your ear. Lovely images. MobileTechReview certainly do have a wonderful way with words. ;-) If you are comfortable with the idea of wearing a tiny, lightweight and discreet Bluetooth headset in, rather than on your ear, then the AX2 looks like a good option. Are you guys regularly using BT headsets with your PPCs and how are you finding them during daily usage? Personally I am not using my BT headset as much as I thought I would. It can be a hassle to always remember it and sometimes it is easier just to take a call the 'normal' way. Are you guys use your BT headsets more or less than you thought you would, or is a BT headset now your 'normal' was of using the phone?

I have a Sony Ericsson one, which I never used a lot. Somehow, with the PDA2K, I kept using the device in the old fashioned way (pressing it to my head) except in the car, where I used a wired headset.

Now I have the Jasjar, and I got to say that even if it is only slightly bigger than the PDA2k, it passed a line in what I like to hold up to my head. So I went out and bought a Jabra BT800, which has the additional benefit of showing the callers number. This means the Jasjar can remain pocketed, and I'm able to take the call. It also helps that the Jasjar comes with a decent Voice Call application, so I can use the headset to initiate a call myself.

I use my Jabra headset only when I'm in the car. You look like a dork walking around with a headset hanging off your ear all the time. Now maybe that's where this little quarters and rag doll contraption shows it's worth.

Then I'm a dork - as a rule if I'm out and about, I'll have one in the ear. The convenience of just pressing a button to answer the phone, rather than having to dig it out is my main excuse. I'm certainly using it far more than I originally expected, to the point where if I forgot to bring a headset along, I feel a little naked.

Yes, big time dork!

You'd be even a bigger dork though if you left a 'wired' earpiece in...

Oh, it gets worse - phone in belt pouch, PDA on belt clip, now I'm looking at external battery packs to help increase battery life, like this one which also sits on a belt pouch:

Say! You wouldn't happen to know where I can get a copy of Batman's utility belt would you?

I have a Sony Ericson HBH 300. I don't find it particularly comfortable, but I do use it for most of my calls. (I know doesn't make sense.) I have a Jam, and I find the speaker to be difficult to find when trying to use it in the normal way. I keep thinking I need a new headset, but with Christmas coming up, plunking down money for a toy for myself just isn't in the budget.

I have the AX and it's a great little piece of kit. It must be said, however, that about the only time I use it is on long car trips; otherwise, it sits next to my Tablet at home. In truth, I'm not on the phone all the time (not much at all really) or I might behave differently. It's too bad cause it really is cool but as was pointed out already, having it on all the time isn't...

So, what's this going to do? Make you look like you have a hearing aid with a little blinking blue light?

I tried and tried and got tired of the constant "I cant hear you" or the echo. Granted my device has alot to do with that. (XV6600-Verizon)

I am still tethered and actually have made the best of it, with MS VC announcing who is calling me I don't have to look at the screen.

If the BT stacks are improved or I have better luck on my next PDA/Phone I may reconsider.

You certainly seem to get more phone calls than me. Most of the time it's not worth my while wearing it constantly. The exception is when go on a car journey and am expecting a call.

I think it depends on what region you're in and how popular you are. In New York City and surrounding areas, I always see people wearing bluetooth headsets or wired headsets... walking on the streets, at the Javitts Center, in the grocery store, the malls.. and of course driving cars. Wearing a headset while grocery shopping seems to be very popular.. your spouse doesn't even have to write a list out for you. Just talk up and down the aisles while pushing the cart. A good number of my non-tech friends are using Bluetooth headsets nowadays too.

I usually switch headsets depending on what I'm doing.. Invisio Mobile for the motorcycle or snowboarding, wired stereo headset for bicycling, Bluespoon AX2 for in the car or at work/home, Bluespoon 5G for social events. Using one hand to hold something against your head is horribly inefficient for any serious multitasker.

I still think it looks like a tiny velociraptor's head.

It can't be too comfortable having a dinosaur shoved in your ear up to its neck. ;)

I have a Jabra BT250 and had a 200 before that. I also have an old bluespoon cameleon (can hardly hear it, it may be bad)
My question is this, tho, for those that have used the AX:

I like the jabra because it fits 'around' my ear, and stays there. If i run, even, it stays there and I can talk on it. others i have tried just fell off. heck, even a walk that is faster than my grandma made it almost fall off - but not my jabra. How is the AX with this type of use?
