Malinche Entertainment president Howard Sherman is bringing back old-school interactive fiction (IF) text-based video games and embracing the latest wireless technology to present the games to a new and younger audience.
There are several implementors attaching themselves to the revival, but Sherman is at the front of the pack. Apple.com ranked several of his games as recommended games for the iPod for their plot lines and entertainment value.
Sherman’s first three interactive fiction titles have sold more than 100,000 copies and he anticipates that sales of The First Mile will exceed all three previous titles due to its compatibility with iPods, cellphones, personal computers, laptops, PocketPCs and PalmOS handhelds and Blackberries.
