Newbie help!

well im not a real newbie as but i am with ppc i have had smarthphones e100 e200 c500.............question is today i opened a woord doc with my ppc problem is its zoomed right in cant view the whole doc....and i can only view minimum 50% is there any where in the registry or any app that i can change this thanks.......really need it for work but i thnk its just not usable........(and the same for excel)

Which PPC are you using right now to view the file? Is it an ipaq, a dell, and if you know which OS it is running that would help as well.

Let's see from within Pocket Word You can click on View > Zoom and bring the original down to %75. Another thing to try is View > Wrap to Window.

no not really i sort of need it less than 50% can u think of anything else

Running it through Activesync instead of transfering the doc directly to your device or storage card should help. The only problem is you might lose some formatting when you transfer it back to the PC.

when you say run it through activeysnc do you mean just copy and paste it if so i do and its still not great......i would love to see a whole document say a letter in the window but i cant

Well there is a document viewer avilable but that's all it does is view documents, you can't really work on them with it. http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=7285. We're dealing with 3.8" or smaller screens here. Maybe if you had a VGA Device and one of those VGA Enhancers like OZ or SE VGA you'd get closer but it's not going to happen with QVGA. Still try that Textmaker dealie though.

Closer to your goal of a full screen document mikey1234. That was a pretty clever play on words though.

Okay, I just thought of another thing. Before you save the word document on your PC change the view to %50 then save it. Your PPC will see that change as well.
