Hi all,

There is a customer who is asking why should one choose a Windows Mobile based device oover Symbian UAQ phone like the Sony Ericson P910. My experience with Symbian UAQ is nill. Any points/articles on this topic are greatly appreciated. Do the UAQ phones support all the Office applications such as Windows Mobile devices do? How is the browser comparable to Pocket IE?

Thanks,
KK.

UIQ is ok but I prefer my PPC.
The browser is Opera for mobiles. I think mine is v7.
I've not used PIE so can't compare them.

There's definitely many more applications for PPC than for UIQ. If I could, I'd have a 3G PPC since I'm on a 3G network, but they don't have any here yet so I'm stuck with UIQ.

It synchronises well with Outlook for contacts, etc (not notes tho. Cant remember if it does tasks or not). I can sync via BT much better with my Motorola A1000 than I can with my PPC, but my cradle works fine for the PPC.

It doesn't really support MS Office stuff. It has the Picsel reader which supports most documents including PDFs and HTML, but my phone didn't come with an application to edit word documents or any other office document natively or otherwise.
