I'm pretty sure it can be done but I can't figure it out. I'd like to put certain things that I use alot right on the today screen (just like I have on my desktop), like notes or my ereader. Do I need a special program to do that or can I just do it myself? I have Pocket Breeze if that makes any difference. :)

It sounds as though you'd really enjoy Spb Pocket Plus. (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en) It does everything you're asking for, plus more.

SBSH PocketBreeze won't provide that launcher functionality, but if you want to keep in line with the SBSH range of products, then you might want to check out iLauncher (http://www.sbsh.net/products/ilauncher/) if Spb Pocket Plus isn't your cup of tea.

I am not a Pocket Breeze user but I don't think it has the ability to launch programs.

You will need to get a today plugin to set up program, or document, icon shortcuts on your today screen.

I personally use RhinoLaunch (http://rhinocode.com/rhinolaunch.htm). It was one of the first ones that I tried and since it works for what I need it for, I have not tried others.

If I purchased a new PocketPC I would probably try Spb Pocket Plus (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en).

There are many out there that you can try. Doing a keyword search for "Launcher" at the software store here will give you these results (http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/PlatformSearch.jsp?optionId=1_2_2&jid=CXA7DB6A459FD2221XF94DD7799897CC&platformId=2&siteId=311&advSearch=true&posit=0&keyWords=launcher&txtSearch=launcher).

Also, you can search the forums for "Today Screen Launcher" and find some information on a number of different launchers.

Here are a few links to some reviews:

One of my friends told me that he thinkgs that the today page is an XML file, and so should be editable quite easily, to add whatever you want! I haven't had a chance to look into this yet, so I don't know whether it's true though. If so, it'd make customising it very easy!

Unfortunately it's not true. Today screen items must be compiled c++ programs (or .net programs that call a c++ wrapper)
