Does the speed difference between these 2 wifi technology matter for Internet connection? What I know is that wireless-G router (802.11g) is 5 times faster than wireless-B router (802.11b).

My DSL broadband only provides 1Mbps (100kBs/s) download, can I achieve this speed with both types of router?

I plan to buy a wireless router for use of my laptop and pocketpc primarily for Internet connection and not files transfer, so I think wireles-B will be sufficient (cheaper by half here). Am I right?

Is there any other advantages of wireless-G over wireless-B?

I've checked that my laptop is equipt with 802.11g card. I'm not sure about my pocket pc. Any idea about iPAQ rx3715??

Thank you very much...

Just my opinion but I'd spring for the G-router. I don't know the technical aspects, but I experienced a noticable difference in my wireless speed when I switched. Your PPC has a B chip, but you should be able to set your router's settings to allow wireless access for all of your B/G devices.

Good to hear that shawnc, coz I found a G router at an affordable price. I'm going for that. Thank you.
