Hey,

I'm looking to get a mobile access point for some travelling I"m planning this year and next, and can't seem to find what is agreed upon as the "best" since most user reviews I'm seeing have about 50/50 split on the mobile offerings from Linksys, Netgear, D.link, and the Wiflyer. So for those of you who travel frequently - what do you use? Does it support your Pocket PC nicely? Is it quick? Is it legally available in the U.S.? Does it sponteneously light on fire?

Thanks for the input,
Jon.

I don't travel all that much, but I've used my Linksys WRT54GC in California and now at college. Although I haven't used it, I would look at the Linksys WRT54GCS. (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1122062241008&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper) That seems to be one of the smallest form factors, much like the AirPort Express (which again - no experience, but I'd consider that).

I always assumed Airport was only for MAC's (However seems weird they'd have a WiFi MAC only solution...) Anyways, Thanks for the reply!

AFAIK, it works like all other consumer routers/APs, with a web-based configuration page.
