HI all

I am using a new windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc phone. I am aired this phone with the Vrazer and using the Vrazer as a modem.

After pairing it when I tap and hold on the pair devices i get several options but the "Hands free profile" is greyed out for me.

If somebody know how to enable the hands free profile on this phone or any registry change we need to do for this.

Thanks

First off, the x51v is not a phone (or a PPC Phone), it is purely a Pocket PC.

Pairing a headset would have nothing to do with the pairing you have apparently set up between the X51 and the Razr. The headset would pair with one or the other device. I am sure the Headset will pair with the razr, but I am not as sure you can pair a headset with an X51. You certainly could with an X50, but i ubderstand the BT stack has changed and i have not seen the new options.

If you are trying to pair the headset with the X51, go to BT manager, select new, and see if headset is an option. At that point I would not expect anything to be grayed out, just there or not there.

If you are seeing a grayed out Headset profile related to a pairing between the X51 and the Razr, that would make sense as the X51 certainly couldn't act as a headset for the phone, nor could the phone act as a headset for the Razr, so headset profile, though possibly available on either or both units wouldn't be applicable.

First of all I am sorry it is not pocket pc phone it is pocket pc only.

And the profile which is gryed out that is not headset profile that is a hands free profile.

I am not sure wthere with this Pocket pc the Hands free profile is enbale by default or not.

OEM don't have any information on this.

You cannot use the X51v as a hands free device so it makes sense that that profile would be greyed out.

A Bluetooth headset, Headphones or speaker phone accesory are examples of hads free devices. Can Hands Free devices be used with the X51v? Yes. Can hand-free devices be used with the Razr? Yes.

I hope that clears things up for you a little npatang.

Can Hands Free devices be used with the X51v? Yes.

Do you have one? The headset/handsfree profile is available on the 51 as it was on the 50? That is, you can pair a headset to the 51 to use VoIP and such?
