:?: Is it possible to upgrade windows moble 2003, on a Ipac 2215, to WM5. I think it requires 128MB'S, but I could install it on a memory card couldn't I. I'd like to know if it's internet browser is enough of an upgrade to access site chat's like yahoo chat. If so, how can I obtain WM5?

Have you looked on the HP support site?

If such a WM5 upgrade exists for this device, it will be downloadable from there...

The WM OS must reside in the flashROM area; it cannot be installed to a memory card like user-added apps. While it does not require 128MB of ROM, that will make for a happier device since the default storage area in WM5 is also flashROM. RAM is reserved for app execution. Like mentioned above, check the HP web site to see what downloads are available for your device.

The others make good suggestions, but just to come to a conclusion: The h2215 will not receive a Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade, and it never will. HP failed to officially support it with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition last time, so you can bet top dollar that it won't support Windows Mobile 5.0 this time.
