Dell refurbish stockroom was piled with x50v after x51v came out. However, last time I checked they only have one, ONE! x50v left. Does it mean that they won't be able to replace my x50v if something happened?

Update: I checked their stock of x50v a minute later and there are no x50v, not even one, available.

I'm sure that they have a back stock for warranty replacements. Worst case, though, they could always replace it with an X51v.

I have seen the Dell refurb area (in the US) completely out of x50v often, so don't read too much into that. the v model in that line has been a very popular refurb item since they appeared and they tend to sell out quickly when they are listed.

I just took a look at the Dell Refurb page. At the moment they have 200 X50v !!! The lowest priced units are at $319 USD. Buy one for everyone in the family. :wink:

footnote: I finally got my wife hooked on a PPC since I got her an X50v of her own!

Oh my!! How did all that x50v came from? 8O There are zero left when I checked last time. Now, my dream of replacing my x50v with x51v is ruined. :cry:

relax dude. your ppc probably wont break before those 200units are sold out, leaving you with a shot at a x51v if yours breaks later

Actually, I already have 1-2 dead pixels on my x50v. Now, I just have to look for the right time to tell them about it. :devilboy:

heh, they can do either of 2 things. give you an x51 or replace your screen =P
