I'm interested in this as a Pocket PC client for Google Talk - just point your Jabber client at talk.google.com, make sure encryption is turned on, and you're good.

BUT-

I DARE you to find a link to download this program anywhere on the Jabber.com site. The link above is to the press release, and there's no links to a download page. And the jabber.com site is ABSOLUTELY the most POORLY DESIGNED website I've ever seen! How is someone supposed to know where to find the program?! The pages are NUMBERED! IMA?! XMP? EIEIO? What the HECK!?

Trying to navigate their site is like trying to make sense of the inch thick wad of legalese and press releases that come in the mail once a year for my 401k...

If anyone comes up with a usable download link, I'd be most grateful.

And whoever designed the jabber.com site should be FIRED!

I don't think they have 4.0 out yet 3.0 is available under RESOURCES>TRY JABBER. Haven't been using Jabber for awhile... I use Agile Messenger [for YahooIM] I wonder when Yahoo will make a standalone IM client for Mobile Devices [they used to have one but it doesn't work anymore, I think the project has been scrapped].

Hmmm it seems that this is a desktop version... Can't seem to find the PPC version

I don't think that Jabber's web site is the worst although I'm no great maven. True the only thing that I could find was their latest download which was 3.0 which after installing was upgraded to 3.0.2.2. I did notice that the server version that was running is 4.2.12.2. From the press release it would seem that the client was also to be v4. Maybe it was pulled since Darius had made his post.

If they pulled it, they need to tell us so, if not why, especially if they're blasting out press releases touting this fabled v4...

I'm increasingly unimpressed with the communication from these clowns. They seem to have NO idea how to tell us effectively about their product.

I would have hoped that Darius would have come up with something by now as why none of us can find it.

Sorry. I have been away the past day, and am in the process of wading through the chaos. I'll let you know what I find out.

Sorry. I have been away the past day, and am in the process of wading through the chaos. I'll let you know what I find out.You don't have to be sorry, your allowed at least one day away every year  . It would be nice to find out what's doing since the press release says it's available but nobody can find it. I was just came off their site snooping around a little but I turned up nothing.
