'Do It Yourself' GPS assisted navigation remains the most flexible way to navigate, as you can choose your software (road/all-terrain), hardware (PDA, VGA PDA, Laptop) and change the components as new and more powerful options become available. This article will be looking at the GPS receiver component. Nearly 20 GPS Receivers are included in this comparison article, with the latest GPS SiRFIII based receivers, but also receivers using less well known chipsets."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/ekkie_gps_comparison.jpg" /><br /><br />Let's face it. For anyone looking to enter the world of GPS technology, the sheer number of options at your disposal can be dizzying, whether you're looking at standalone units, convergence units, receivers, or software. Guillaume over at GPS Passion looks to ease some of that confusion by creating a guide that compares 20 different GPS receivers on the market today. So if you're interested in taking a dip with GPS for the first time, be sure to check out this guide!

Am I the only one that gets "The page cannot be displayed" every single time they hit gpspassion? Very annoying.

:bad-words: ISP! Some sites I can't access at all at times. Other times, those sites are fine. I wonder if the ISP does some sort of caching of frequently-accessed sites? I find that sometimes, if I set up multiple pings in Sam Spade to a site I cannot access in the browser, it will return nothing for a few minutes then start returning pings. Then I can access the site in the browser.
