Pocket Controller Professional from Soti (http://www.soti.net/default.asp?Cmd=Products&SubCmd=PCPro) does a great job.

Yes, Pocket Controller is the best. However, if you already have dotPocket or any desktop-based video recorder (for example, SnagIt), you can also do the same. The former also has video recording capabilities; with the latter, you can even use the free ActiveSync Remote Display, part of Microsoft's PowerToys.

You may want to read http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=355320 on all this.

Sound good but just so we are on the same page,
I have a GPS software installed (TOMTOM Navigator 5)
and want to record the sreen as I drive (or as I run it in DEMO mode)
I then wat to take that avi file and burn it to a DVD

If you can take your notebook with you, then, everything is OK.

If you must record the video on your PDA (no notebook), the situation is a bit worse.

I've quickly listed all the on Handango available solely PPC-based (no desktop component) screen capturer utilities and none of them seemed to have video capture capabiltieies. I can't say this for sure, though, before I've done a real roundup of them - which I will do some time so that I can add this stuff to my article on PPC screenshot taking (http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20203) (a sticky thread over at iPAQ HQ).

I'll keep this thread posted.
