Do you think it makes sense to get a Pocket PC now and wait for the free upgrade or wait until the new models come out? Difficult decision...

No easy answer on that. It depends on if you need a Pocket PC now or prefer to wait for WM5-specific devices to come out (e.g., with dedicated softkey buttons, etc.).

Unless you're looking for a PPC phone, I'd go with something now. It's not really likely that there's going to be anything coming out of HP that's significantly better than what's on offer currently...

I was going to trade my hx4705 for an x51v to get WM 5.0 this week, but I have since reconsidered. I will wait until HP releases the upgrade or until Dell starts offering ridiculously low priced deals on the x51v. Also, I think it makes sense to wait a bit, let others suffer the bugs, and reap the benefits after the OS has been out in the wild.

I also noticed one of my favorite PPC programs - Netfront - supposedly isn't compatible yet - according to some folks with the PPC 6700.
