I would like to start using or acquiring RSS feeds on my PPC. Can I load some software (preferably a decent free program)on to my Toshiba e830? Where do I find this software? and can I load the software on to a memory card, or does it go on to the regular PPC memory?
I once upon a time (1year ago) loaded some of this RSS software on to my desktop, which must have been made specifically for desktops . I long ago took it off the desktop. I thought it might be nice to have this type of program to compliment my Avantgo. Thanks for any help or tips on .NET COMPACT FRAMEWORK for PPC's if there is such a thing.

I'm not sure how this relates to the .NET Compact Framework, but if you're after the latest public release for the Pocket PC, visit Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a5a02311-194b-4c00-b445-f92bec03032f&displaylang=en) for v1.0 SP3. The .NET CF v2.0 will be released at the end of this year.

As for RSS clients, there are a number available for Pocket PC. Among the more popular ones are:

NewsBreak (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/nw/newsbreak.htm)
FeederReader (http://www.feederreader.com/)
Qusnetsoft NewsReader (http://www.qusnetsoft.ru/)
pRSSreader (http://pda.jasnapaka.com/prssr/)
PocketRSS (http://www.happyjackroad.net/pocketpc/pocketRSS/pocketRSS.asp)
Egress (http://www.garishkernels.net/egress.html)

Hope that helps. :)

FeederReader can be loaded completely onto a memory card including program, feeds, and enclosures (podcasts and videocasts). RAM is used a little for scratch space. Detailed instructions on how to load FeederReader onto a storage card are at http://www.feederreader.com/downloads.html and includes a link to .NET Compact Framework SP3. To identify what version of the Compact Framework you already have (if any), see http://www.feederreader.com/IdentifyOS.html

I hope this helps!
