I had a bit of a poke around today, and I won't lie to you in saying that those of you hoping for a huge revamp in the mobile application's features and user interface will be sorely disappointed. Having said that, it's still free and a good enough solution if you're not after something too fancy.

that's a bummer. I was disappointed with the last version. If I wanted something fancy to sync. with Money, what would be good?

I've always been a happy user of Spb Finance, which happens to be compatible with Money 2006 as well. Perhaps you might want to give that a go.

A vote here for Cash Organiser (http://www.inesoft.com)
I've been using it for a few years now and it has continued to work well.

why still no versions for smartphones!?
Is it usable as a stand-alone (simple) app?

What is WRONG with Microsoft?
This isn't even in VGA! Year after year, they release a new version of Money for PocketPC and they never do anything to it. It makes me wonder what takes so long.
This really... sucks. I was expecting at LEAST they would make it compatible with VGA displays. Instead it gives me a warning message like every other piece of obselete WM software.

Yes. But it's exactly that - "simple". :)

...well, an assertion like this will keep me from trying it.

Don't get me wrong - it's a capable application which supports a number of neat features, but if you were to put it head-to-head with products such as Spb Finance, WebIS Money, Cash Organiser, etc., then Microsoft Money (for Pocket PC) may seem a bit basic. But it's free - and you can't ask for much more. ;)

Of course, just kidding a little bit.

Yes. It supports every version of Money from 2002 to 2006.
They both are the exact same functionality, no difference between Money for PowerPC 2005 and 2006. I always hoped Microsoft would add more too but it syncs reliably.
I tried Spb Finance and bought v1.9. They went to v2.0 and v2.1 and I've nevre been able to get ActiveSync to sync these two versions with Money on my desktop. If I go back to v1.9, no problems. While the Spb Finance tech support has been helpful, they've been unable to resolve my sync problem with v2.0 and v2.1. I gave up on Spb Finance software and went back to Money for PocketPC which is reliable every sync.

I don't think they've changed Money for PPC ever since the first version it. If they have, can someone detail what changes were made?
