Hey all, I am pretty interested in a handheld PC, much like the old HP 720. Are there any new ones out there, I would think there are a few models floating around with decent specs, even in Japan. Any help on the subject would be appreciated, cause I think it would really be nice to have one.

i thought microsoft dropped support and development of hpc a while ago. i could be wrong though. why not a pocket pc?

i like the fact they are longer, have a keyboard built in, 56k modem, pc card slot, ect... like a mini laptop.

It's essentially dead. There are a few generic Windows CE devices - like the Samsung Nexio - that are still kicking around in production, but there's essentially no software development going on for the HPC platform.

Not a pocket PC, but take a look at the Motion LS800 . You may appreciate the size of it.

You could check out the Jasjar I guess. No 56k, but the general hpc spirit is there...
