YES there is and it is located right above the select button (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/hewlett_packard_jornada_565_review).

You can still find external keyboards for the Jornadas - there is a small thumb board that clips onto the unit and ThinkOutside made a foldable keyboard that the unit slides onto (marketed by Targus if I recall correctly). But I know of no external control pad that connects directly to the unit. However, if you add something like the Ratoc USB CF card, you will be able add USB keypads provided they do not require a special driver.

I have BOTH the thumb board and the Targus keyboard. The thumb board is cute and works but I don't ever use it. The keyboard is great and I do use it every now in then. When I need a keyboard this works like a charm. Highly recommended.
