Applian PhoneKing allows one to use a PPC as a phone control center, dunno if this is what you're looking for.

HOWEVER, PhoneKing development has been halted, due to a lack of standardisation in phones and PPCs.

I think it used to be available as a standalone app, but it's still part of the Applian super incredible bundle (about 20 apps and utils for $40).

Still works with some relatively old phone models, like the Nokia 6310, and SE T68 they illustrate on their page; might work with more recent models (e.g. T610, some Nokias, etc.); not sure at all about latest generations.

More info on the bundle and PhoneKing here. (http://www.applianmobile.com/pocketpc/SIB/index.php)

Separate downloads are here. (http://www.applianmobile.com/pocketpc/other_downloads.htm)

Note I'm NOT affiliated/connected with them; my post sounds obvious in this respect (incomplete informations), but I prefer to make it clear 8).

Thanks for the help, but that's not what i'm quite looking for. It seems phoneking only lets you dial a number on your phone over bluetooth, and it only supports i believe nokia and ericsson phones.

i'm looking for software that would let me output the audio from my moto e815 to my hp ipaq 4150 over bluetooth. i know i can use my computer as a bluetooth audio gateway and can output my phone to my computer over bluetooth, just curious if you can download a bluetooth driver to do the same on my pocket pc.

pretty specific but i think it'd be a cool thing to do for fun :)

IC

What BT profile does the computer use to thruput the sound to your computer? Then find if your ipaq supports this profile...

It is my understanding that you can't just download BT drivers to add some profiles. Could be wrong, but that's what I gather.

umm i'm not quite sure what driver it is, it's just the windows xp default "audio gateway"

i'm looking for software or drivers to support this same profile, i know its not included on my ppc. i'm thinking because i know there are registry hacks to adjust a pocketpc to output to bluetooth headphones, just wondering if it could be done the other way

I posted about this the other day. It seems Running Voice GSM was going to do this at one time and were waiting until PDAs all had duplex audio capabilities.

Anyways, what is this XP audio gateway and how does that relate to the built in BT stack in XP?

I do know that the x50/1 from Dell are unique in that they support both the headset *and* the hands-free BT profiles. These would be good for Skype or some such VoIP softphone.

But, still it would be cool to transform your car-mounted PDA into a hands-free unit.

I've been wondering the same things.

I linked the PPC to the computer via BT and used the computer's speakers but i wondered if i could reverse that so i could broadcast audio from the PC to the PPC and in affect have the same as a wireless headset (provided i pluged in some headphones of course)
