I was thinking of getting an hx2410 pocket PC to replace my old casio e115. I would like to know a bit about it. Like how durable it is, how it is at video playback......basic stuff. And is it really worth 499$ CAD?

hey there, that particular iPaq would be a great upgrade from your old casio.

it's got a quick processor, plenty of storage (and upgrade options ie. SD and CF card slots) and out of the box, it comes with a decent protector. that hard flip screen does make a difference, especially if you don't want to use a case.

as far as durability goes, tough to say, hopefully someone who has that ipaq could help you out in that one. I sell these ipaq's at work, and i've had plenty of time to use them and demo them, just never out of the store. One thing i CAN say is that this particular ipaq connects and configures wireless access WAY faster than my Dell Axim x50v... it impressed me how fast it was.

the price? of almost 500 cdn... i'd see if you can find it cheaper, and take the add in to get pricematched. i think tigerdirect sells it for like $467, but hey, any discount is a discount..

i'd give it a thumbs up, it's a great little device.

Well thats 500$ CAD from every electronics store I can find in my area (e.g. best buy) I might get it from tiger direct if I don't get charged tax. :)

I've only ever been charged GST. However, they're based in Markham, so if you're in Ontario, you may have to pay PST as well.

Yup. They charge me PST and GST. I might as well just get it at a local business depot in that case.

Actually, Tigerdirect's price might be a few dollars cheaper ($467.99 + 21.91 UPS shipping + 73.49 taxes = $563.39), but that's it. If Business Depot is over $500 before taxes, then I'd get it from Tiger Direct.

Business depot has it listed for 499$. For some reason its 550$ at the store but only 499 on the business depot website. I can get it for 499$ before taxes on the website with free overnight shipping.
