hi all,

i want to know if it is possible for a pocket pc, or sepecifcally the Asus A620bt to use the Compact Flash memory like a flash Drive? I know that a palm can do it becuase my brother have a tungsten t5 and he was able to us the usb to conncect directly to his palm and his computer and just do a drag and drop right into his palm. Is something like this possible for pocket PC? or do you have to install a program in your computer to be able to do this?

Yes, it is very possible. However, it is considerably slow. I reccommend buying a card reader to speed things WAY up.

Without ActiveSync installed on th PC? Not that I know of for the file store/builtin storage/FlashROM.

For external cards (SD, etc.), try the newly available Card Export (it's been on Palm for a while and now available for SELECT PPC architectures). It's been mentioned here recently, but I don't have a URL handy. Check the compatibility before purchasing if that's what you had in mind.
