what does the website mean by created date 8-12-05? Are they saying the device is complete? Something doesn't seem right.

that just means that the device was presented to be tested by the FCC on that date. Thatīs all.

Hmmm - depending on what this device actually is it might have been a blessing in disguise that my ebay dramas have put my x50v purchase on hold....
