Linking and Securing the AXIM 30

I am a beginner and would like to link my Axim 30 Pocket PC to my desktop using my Belkin router but want to secure my pocket pc when connecting to my desktop or even at a hotspot. I have tried to do it unsuccessfully using the Belkin and Axim 30 instructions. Please help.

The way to prevent you're wifi from being snooped on is WEP or better still WPA. If you are using activesync over the internet then you need to create a Virtual Private Network.
