I have a iPAQ hx2210 running 2003SE, is it possible to send files to a computer via bluetooth?

I think it is possible through ActiveSync. However, I have found Bluetooth on my 2215 to be extremely unreliable. Every time I try to use it to sync my device to my desktop or to connect to my GPS device, the connection is usually dropped right in the midde of the operation. Very frustrating.

If both bluetooth managers (on the PPC and the desktop) support a common file transfer profile (typically OBEX), then you should be able to do this without the use of the ActiveSync conduit. AS is not the fastest or most stable connection and I have found this to be especially true over BT. Using a BT file transfer profile would be a better choice.

I know it is possible to send files form the PC to the Pocket PC so the OBEX protocol is there, and it is possible to "share files" using the bluetooth wizard, but what I want to know is: is it possible to send a file using a Pocket PC to a Desktop, because there doesn't seem to be an option to send a file with the OS.

I don't recall this being an option on the built-in file explorer, so you will need to either add an enhancement to it or choose a replacement app for your file management needs. I use Resco File Explorer and sending via BT is one of the choices in its 'Send to' options for a selected file.

Ok I tried using resco file explorer but it just keeps saying that there was an error communicating with the PC.
