Every time I turn on my iPAQ or when I'm working on something, this damn message always pops up:
Storage Card Warning
Would you like to format the Storage Card forlder so that the system can use it? Yes/No
How can I get it to stop popping up???
Many thanks to those who reply! :D

When I do select "Yes", it says that it can't do it anyway!

Does that happen with all storage cards? If not, I would put it in a flash reader, copy over all the data to your hard drive, and reformat it. Then see if it'll work on your iPAQ.

It happens no matter what kind of card it is. I have no problem backing up using ActiveSynce and accessing the files to it through a Windows Explorer-like program I have on it. I'll try formatting it through ActiveSynce again to see if that helps. If it doesn't, what do you think I should do then?
Thanks a Million!

Hmm, if it happens for all cards, and you can still access the card fine via ActiveSync (how about on the iPAQ itself, in File Explorer?), it's probably something bigger, with the iPAQ.
Maybe someone else knows for sure how to fix this, but I would first try booting into "safe mode" if possible. I believe there is a freeware program that lets you access safe mode, or, if you have Spb Pocket Plus 3.0, simply soft reset your device two times in under a minute, and you'll get a prompt during bootup where you can chose to boot in safe mode. Once you're in safe mode, insert the card and see if you still have the problem.
If you don't have the problem, one of your startup programs is probably causing the problem. If not, I would save all your data and hard reset your iPAQ.
Not really sure what the cause of this is, or if even a hard reset would fix it, but it's what I would try in this situation. Let us know how it goes. :)

I do have File Explorer and can access the files on my storage device fine through it. I don't think my PPC has any start up programs though. I thought only regular computers had that.
I've done both a hard and soft reset in the past when I needed to and that doesn't help either. I'll try the format on ActiveSync though when I get home from work and see what happens. Thanks again!

I'm doubtful you'll be able to format a storage card via ActiveSync...you would have to have another card reader attached to your computer.
If a hard reset didn't fix it, almost nothing will. I'd say if it's happening with all storage cards even right after a hard reset, it's a problem with the iPAQ itself. I would contact HP Support if your iPAQ is still under warrenty.
Oh, and startup programs are stored in \Windows\Startup.
