Translator software for ppc

Is there a transltor software that is for ppc especially from spanish to english and vise versa???? also is there one that someone can speak into the phone and it translate it to the other language

I use Pocket Promt for French/English translations. The Spanish-English version is quite good, I'd download a trial if I were you.

As far as telephone translating is concerned I don't think that'll be available for about 30 years yet, at least if you want to maintain a conversation only via machine interpreters.

what is the site for that and what i meant is if they can speak into the pda or my cause pda phone and it just translate what they said on the screen. Instead of just typing something basically it could take words that it hear and translate it back out on the same device.

At present there are no translators which could faithfully convert speech into a foreign text on the screen. You can find some phrasebooks that do it to a very limited point, and I believe Ectaco has some of those. But no natural speech. It will be about 30 years before software like that becomes available, judging by current speech-to-text and software translation projects.

The closest you could get is a chat programme that can make rough, simultaneous translation between two languages typed over the internet. I had one of those but I don't remember much about it and can't direct you to one, I'm afraid.

now i need one that translate english to Portuguese.... promt dont do this for pocket pc just their main software
