View Full Version : What's wrong with Windows Mobile 5.0 and its streaming capabilities?
Arne over at the unwired is reporting problems with media streaming using WMP 10 on WM5.0.

Anyone else have any experience with this, perhaps using a developers build on WM5.0?

All streams that I have tried in Windows Mobile 5.0 have worked flawlessly.
Here's an example of one using the WM9 codec. It streams without a hitch:

Perhaps I'll talk to Arne about it to see what might have gone wrong.

So there have been a couple of interesting discoveries made over the past few hours: http://www.theunwired.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=20417#20417
Worth a read. :)

Worth a read. :)Interesting indeed, thanks DW. Obviosly I'm a bit concerned about this, I love using ORB, I've never even noticed that some streams were MMS streams, why would this change be made? Are you guys both using final WM5.0 builds?

I'm using an RTM developer's build. I'd assume Arne's is an RTM build too.
I still haven't got round to testing more streams. When I'll do, I'll fill you in on my findings. And I'm sure you can track Arne's thread as well. :)
