I was just wondering if you have a BIN file what to do with it so it would be playable on a PPC (the steps that need to be taken)? Thanks

The .BIN file isn't an actual movie file. What you have probably got here is a CD/DVD image stored in binary format, so you might want to use something like IsoBuster (http://www.isobuster.com/) to open the file and extract any media files in it (if indeed that is what's on the image file). Following steps are really left up to you, since you haven't said where this BIN file is from and what is supposed to be on it, so I can't really help you out with appropriate media players at this stage.

If you are referring to a BIN/CUE file for a VCD or SVCD, then here's the scoop:

Use IsoBuster (linked above) to open the BIN, find the mpeg folder and open it. Right-click on the .DAT (VCD) file or .MPG (SVCD) file and select the option that refers to extract data but filter mpeg2 frames. Save the file with an mpg extension. Now you have something you can work with. The problem is, it's probably about 750MB is size, so you will need to recode it to 320x240 (if it's full screen). I highly recommend Pocket Dixv Encoder by the author of The Core Media Player (formerly BetaPlayer). It's freeware, and available here: http://divx.ppccool.com/page.php?pg_id=11 . It has many presets for different devices, and will encode many formats to DivX. TCMP (the player) is available here: http://www.corecoded.com/ (Windows version), http://corecodec.org/projects/tcpmp/ (PPC version). This is another great free program, highly recommended! You can usually reduce a 750MB mpg file to about 180MB or so, depending upon your settings. I usually stay pretty close to the defaults, 12 for video, 4 for audio, and boost the sound level about 15-20%. If you need more help, PM me.

Thanks alot, your advice was very helpful! although the only problem i am having is that once i compressed the second part of the movie, it plays fine on my pc but then when i transfer it via activesync there is no sound when it is played on my PPC (toshiba e740) *and yes the volume is on*
