X50v attempts automatic network logon - how to stop?

After much fiddling I finally managed to get my Axim50v to connect to the internet via GPRS/G3 using BT and my Sony Ericsson V800. But in the process I must have set some value wrongly, because now the Axim attempts Network Logon at regular intervals without my doing anything about it.
Any suggestions ... ??

Well now that the Axim has an option to connect to the web, likely some program that previously new it couldn't get there, now thinks it can. Culprits can be mail (inbox services), weather programs, currency exchange programs, things that need to update data from the internet. Could even be AS if automatic sync got set inadvertantly.

Thanks! That was exactly what was going on. World Traveller was trying to do automatic updates. Should have thought of it, but with your help I did.

Program authors should really provide more flexible options. Included should be an option to check to see if access is available before updating, and either try to connect, or just forget it, setable by the user.
