Compatibility with CF cards

I have a HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC (running on windows mobile 2003se)
will it recognize the full capacity of all compact flash cards such as a 4gb card or 2gb card?

In short, yes. The hx4700 supports 2GB and 4GB CF.

In long, sort of. ;) As with all media, formatting them with a particular file system in mind (e.g. FAT16/FAT32) always consumes a bit of space (you'll see this trend not just with media cards, but with hard disks too).

Thank you for the prompt reply. This is a great forum; wish I had seen it earlier. When I spoke to HP all I got from them was nonsense.
