An interesting question came to my mind. I thought it was interesting because if someone were to guess then they would guess that most PPCThoughts users or PPC owners were males. How many females are here?

As of late 2003, http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20329.

Not sure if it's changed.

Probably accurate...

Hmm, but that's almost two years ago now, before PPC's really started to get more common. I'm a girl who loves gadgets - and I think it would be interesting to see a new poll and see how many more of us there are! :D

Although maybe that's why there's a severe shortage of pink themes around here!

Would it be accurate to say that girls prefer gadgets small and conceilable? Like, the small and concielable PDAs are probably more appealing than the big clunky ones?

Well, I don't want to generalize, but for me, I do like my PDAs small and thin - that's why the Ipaq 19XX series has been my favorite so far - although my next upgrade will most likely be the Axim x50v. And all this talk about belt cases and holster cases - I would NEVER use them! Sleeve or wallet cases suit me best, as I almost always carry my PPC in my purse. But I don't care if its concealable or not, as I LOVE to show off my PPC, anytime I can capture an audience :D  But I would say overall yes, the smaller and sleeker the better - goes for handhelds, cell phones, laptops, anything. Except big-screen TVs!

Oh I see. It is, of course, as always, the PDA you or everyone is after...

Men do the same thing, we just conceal this statement as

as I almost always carry my PPC in my gadget bag .

On another note, if I'm not mistaking, PiperPilot uses (or used) an iPAQ 5000 series, deffinetly not a small device. PPC's - breaking stereotypes since 2000.

Me too! My current PPC is an iPAQ 4700 -- definitely not small (or even very attractive except for the 4" screen). It's still only a small percentage of the total weight of the purse. :oops

There've been a couple of female editors/mods around here in the past, but they seem to have vanished without a trace.

Kati's still around -- she's just a bit busier than usual this summer. Crystal did retire a while ago. Ashley (Jason's wife) works behind the scenes as a copy editor on the articles that get pushed to the frontpage.
