Hi there
I bought a T5 about 6 months ago and I haven't used it a great deal. In fact I haven't used it at all in the last 2 months and now I can't get it to turn on! It has been charging for about 2 hours but still nothing.
Am I being impatient and it needs longer to charge or is there a problem? If there is a problem, is this a known problem and does anyone have any idea what I can do to get past this?
many thanks
Steve

Don't know anything about t5's but try hard-resetting it in the cradle and leaving it for a few hours. Its supposed to reset the charging circuitry.

I remember that I had a similar problem with a Palm m505 back in my misguided palm-using days. The device wasn't responsive, it just sat on. Draining the battery and recharging from nothing fixed it. Perhaps just letting the battery die out will help.
Or maybe you should get a refund and buy a PPC & Card Export, that way you'll have more functionality than the T5 and be right at home here on PPCT!

The T5 has persistent storage, so it's unlikely that running the battery all the way down will work, even if he could get it to turn on.
Steve, even if the battery were dead, it should turn on after a few minutes hooked up to power. I would make sure that the charger is solidly connected. If that doesn't work, I'd try soft and hard resets--poking the reset hole in the back of the case with a paperclip, and doing the same while holding down the power button.
There's a remote chance that being left unpowered for two months has caused the battery to lose its ability to hold a charge. If that's the case, I'm not sure what you can do. I'm not sure retailer warrantys would cover that sort of thing, and Palm almost certainly wouldn't. Worst case scenario, if it proves to be totally dead and you can't get a refund/replacement, I might be willing to take it off your hands for parts.
