I've noticed on much more than one occasion that my hx4700 doesn't always start completely after a soft reset.
Since my previous thread about this device's memory, I've tried to be very cautious of what gets loaded into RAM.
At present, I have only a handfull of things installed to RAM. Pocket Hack Master (which is currently NOT running at startup - actually, it's not even configured at this point), Sprite Software's PocketMon plug-in (the rest of Sprite Backup is installed to the file store), and Spb's Pocket Plus, Diary, and Weather.
All those items are in some way, shape, or form displayed on my Today screen.
After a soft reset, sometimes the PIM synchronization runs, sometimes it doesn't (it's turned ON). Sometimes I get Pocket Plus, sometimes I just get Diary, sometimes I don't get PocketMon. In any event, the device is non-responsive until I hit the reset button. Sometimes I have to reset the device three or four times to get a good start up.
I haven't moved any .DLL's or anything like that - it's a fairly simple setup.
Edit: I should note that occasionally (as in, it just happened again) after a hard reset, my PIM data is not restored. The unit hangs at the blue/white HP iPAQ screen. I have to reset now to get back to the initial screen calibration and setup. Maybe it's time to call HP.
Any thoughts? THANKS!
