I have a PPC running windows ce 3 ppc 2000 which is a casio e-115. I have a wireless card in it and whenever I try to log into one of my email accounts through PIE it says that the website could not be found. I'm assuming it cannot handle secure connections. Is there a way to fix this? A quick reply would be nice as I am going on vacation with it in 2 days.

I seem to remember there being an update for the 1st generation Pocket PCs, but after Googling a bit I just couldn't find it - looks like it's been pulled. Not surprising unfortunately, that's a very old device. Webmail typically uses a lot of Javascript, which PIE was (and isn't) very good at supporting. There are other browsers, such as Netfront:

...but none that I could find that support Pocket PC 2000. The truth is, most developers won't/can't back-port their apps to an OS that's older than Windows XP. 8O

Your best bet is to buy a new Pocket PC, perhaps a used one off eBay.

I've found it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/highencryption.mspx

I would say u should buy HP iPAQ 2215(2nd hand). As added benefit u will be able to use ur wireless card too(considering its cf based)

I might look into that pocket PC in late november for my birthday as its still pretty expensive 2nd hand. It looks like a pretty good deal for something that has a 400Mhz processor. I'm not sure if its compatible with my wireless card though as it has only has PPC2002 drivers. I'm going to tokyo in a few days with my family so maybe I can find one for really cheap there as electronics become obselete so quickly there.

Speaking of MS Portrait, did you know you can free up a lot of main memory by deleting its camera-specific DLL's (http://www.winmobiletech.com/portrait/)?
