View Full Version : Super G and RangeMax ??
Anybody knows if Super G and RangeMax is standard or specific to one manufacturer? I saw Netgear talk about this in their products

Super G is manufacturer specific. RangeMax is MIMO (multiple in, multiple out) so it should give you some benefit even if your other hardware isn't MIMO capable.
ok for SuperG.
So RangeMax should give better reception or better transmission?

In theory, better range all around. It listens and transmits with multiple antennas, so it can actually use reflected signals that would be useless to a conventional AP. It's best if you have MIMO capable gear on both ends, but that's only available in some laptop hardware. Standard WiFi should see a range boost too, though.
