Hello all,
I just got a 1 gig SD card for my Ipaq 1910 & it doesn't seem to be working. If I try to transfer more than a few files the ppc will freeze. I can transfer just a few files and they show up on the device, however if I power off & on I get prompted to format the flash card. If I say no the files are not there.
I've heard that the Win CE 3.0 thats on there is no good, is it possible to upgrade the OS?
Is it possible to install Windows Mobile 2003 designed for an Ipaq 38xx series?
If not is there any fix? Rescoe file explorer will not install on CE 3 evidently, are there any other free utilities to format the flash card?
Thanx!

Transfer through ActiveSync, or in a card reader? If the former is the case, then, it must be the inherently slow iPAQ 1910 & the even worse PPC2k2 operating system that may have problems.

Nope. The 1910, much as it would be able to run it, didn't receive the WM2003 upgrade.

Yes.

But it does. Don't be mislead by its name ("2003"), it runs even on PPC2k devices. Please see http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/default.asp

There're quite a few of them. You may want to read http://www.firstloox.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3591 on this subject.
