View Full Version : HP2215 does not charge, help!
My HP2215 stopped charging, and only works in the craddle. Anybody knows how to fix the problem?
It could be a lot of different things, but I would try another battery if you've got one. I've never really heard of that problem before. As with any other unusual problems, you may want to try a hard reset, but you might also want to wait and see if anyone else has any ideas.

Do you try to charge your battery through USB or with the factory charger?

Does it make a difference on battery life? I stopped using the factory charger, just too inconvenient, I just charge using USB now. I just leave the charge/sync cable pluggeg to my office desktop and plug in when I get to the office.

By your description I cannot tell if you are able to charge through the cradle. Sounds like you can, if that is the case then the problem looks like it is with your charger or the tansition piece that attaches to the charger.

Yes, that is the problem - the USB host just can't deliver enough current to charge your battery if the battery's charge is under a certain level. Put back the factory charger and everything will be OK, chargin-wise. (Does your PDA work at all while it's not in the cradle?)
