View Full Version : Disabling PIM Database Synchronization

Hey All,

Maybe someone can help me figure out how to keep the PIM Database from syncronizing after a soft or hard-reset.

I had originally enabled PIM Mirroring in Sprite Backup Premium Edition as this is a very handy feature in the unlikely event that the battery drains completely or a hard-reset is necessary.

However, I would like to stop this from happening. PIM Mirroring is disabled and I have gone into Resco Explorer and deleted the Contacts database from the Ipaq Backup folder in the filestore. I have tried to format the Filestore and performed both soft and hard resets. Yet it still syncronizes the database.

I don't see any setting under options in Contacts that has to do with PIM Mirroring.

In the event that I decide to sell this device or give it to one of my relatives, I would like the contacts to remain empty.

Am I missing something?

Check your start up folder. If the shortcut is there then delete it. That will also disable it. Double check your settings and also make sure it is unchecked in iPAQ Backup (built-in Sprite Backup).

Thanks WyattEarp!

I had forgotten about the Ipaq Backup program. I must have enabled PIM Mirroring quite awhile ago on that program before I installed Sprite Backup Premium.

I disabled it in Ipaq Backup and I'm good to go!
