Avantgo now supports ActiveSync 4.0

If you were one of the many people that downloaded ActiveSync 4.0 when Windows Mobile 5.0 was announced you will remember that there was much discution on the fact that Avantgo didn't support it (and the lack of Wifi sync). Well the lastest version (5.7 build 53) does. Happy Avantgoing!!

Did a search here for any issues with Avantgo 4.0 & WM 5 and found your posting. Didn't know Avantgo 4.0 wouldn't work with WM 5 until I tried to use it with my new T-Mobile MDA Pro. I've tried to find the link to their latest version (5.7 build 53). I keep getting the wrong version which is not compatible. Can you help me out ? Thanks !

I cant help you I'm afraid. I was refering to using Activesync 4.0 with a Winows Mobile 2003 device. Any one else know of any problems??

Did some more digging last night. It appears that they've released a Avantgo 5.0 version.

mmm..i don't know why MS does not simply provide the plugin by default like what they did for pc2002. that version worked flawlessly for my ex jornada...
