have axim x50v, outlook on computer and hotmail; want to transfer email from outlook to PDA in mornings to check throughout the day; manual was not helpful; email goes to outlook w/o any problem, when sync nothing goes to inbox or messages on axim

When you sync with your outlook it only sync with your main folder.
But when you download the hotmail mails in your outlook it make the different folder over there it doesn't download the mails in the main folder.
you can never sync the hotmail mails.

If you have the POP3 or IMap4 accoutn then you can do that !!!

You can set up a rule in Outlook so that when you retrieve Hotmail, it is moved either to your main Outlook mailbox or a subfolder inside the main mailbox. In either case, the email can sync to the Outlook Email account on your Axim. Inbox is the one app in which you can set the ActiveSync options to include subfolders contained in the main folder. However, the prior post is correct that you cannot sync any Outlook mailbox other than your the main (default) mailbox.

Selecting inbox subfolders to sync is done in the desktop ActiveSync options.

Unfortunately, ActiveSync doesn't sync outlook's http accounts. You may try HTTPMail provider http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=9539 for this ($6.99 but you have 30 days eval time).
