Hi -

I just got a i730 to replace my Ipaq 5555. So far, I like it a lot.

One question: I purchased MS VoiceCommand for my 5555 and it works pretty well. The non-MS voice recognition software on the i730 doesn't seem to be very good at recognizing what I'm saying, especially via my bluetooth headset.

Therefore I would like to try installing MS VoiceCommand on my i730.

Does anyone know whether that is likely to cause problems for the i730?

Thanks,
Tim

It shouldn't. Voice Command is designed to work fine on WM2003SE.

Well, that's not satisfactory. Nuts. I'll have to see whether there's a way to hack that.

I have voice command in my i730 and haven't found a way to uninstall voicesignal or map vc to the voicesignal button. With that said, it does work (have not tried it w/ BT headset). One problem I noticed is I can't activate wifi unless I disable vc???????????? Very odd.

It can be your memory issue .
Are you able to use the bluetooth service when the VC is enable.
What are the softwares you have in your startup folder.

From what I've heard, I don't think Voice Command supports that at this time. :( It's been complained about numerous times.

Yeah, it's definitely not an i730-specific issue, but rather, a global one. There have been a few rants about it in the forums.
