i got a promo code by email, expires tomorrow (july 8th), that gives you a 25% rebate on all ebooks.

so, i'm not sure if this is open for everyone or just members, but since i'm currently not able to buy any ebooks (no dough :( ) i'd give my code to someone who wants to purchase an ebook within 24h from fictionwise.

don't confuse this with the summer rebate sale (35% micropay rebate)

pm me if you're interested.

If you deduct 25% from Fictionwise' prices on multiformat books, they gets down to the level where they should be today. Ebooks are not something novel for the few anymore and the initial investment in the technology has been paid off long ago.

I fail to understand why anyone would pay Ereaders prices.

for me they should be in the €5 to €10 range.
i'll definately not buy an ebook that costs $15 plus tax.

unfortunately, all books on my fictionwise wishlist are between $12 and $16 :(

so i thought i'd get brad meltzer's "millionaires", but the taxes sort of counterbalanced the 25% rebate and it was just too much for me right now.
maybe when my start-up business reaches the grown-up phase ...

strange that nobody wanted the code ... makes me think that everybody here got one.

I didn't receive such an offer. :(

But like you, even with 25% off, there is nothing at a price I am willing to pay for ebooks (less than $8 for a novel). I have for a long time been exploring Project Gutenberg's novels and history books.
