Hi. I wonder if somebody could help me with this issue. We have this PocketPC Toshiba e355 at work that we use to make some surveys. Well, I wanted to download the data from it today but it wouldn't respond to tapping. If I pushed the physical navigation buttons it has it worked well. But I can't do much with only these buttons. So I tried a soft reset to see if it would work again but it didn't. I tried then a hard reset and it still would not respond to tapping. It's now stuck on the Welcome screen asking to tap the screen to setup the pocket PC. I noticed that the voice recording button that is on the left side of it is a little stuck. I tried to get it loose but I'm not sure if it got loose.
Anybody has any idea of what could be? Any suggestions for fixing it?
Thanks

Hmmm...
Since you have already done a hard reset, do another one. If your unit has a user replaceable battery, remove it (along with any backup battery your unit might have) and let the unit sit uncharged for a while (overnight to be sure, though five minutes should be enough if you also removed the backup battery). This will remove all residual charge from the unit and return it to factory "out of the box" condition.
If the problem still exists, then it is a hardware problem and will require repair or replacement.
If you are located in the US,Pocket PC Techs (http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~unit~Toshiba_e355-225~area~repairs-full+service~action~updateunit.htm) is a good place to start when looking for a place to repair your unit. They also have self repair kits but it does not look like they have the kit available for your unit. It may be worth contacting them.
Good luck,
