XV6600 backup battery dead out of the box

Uh is it suppose to show zero charge right out of the box? Every Pocket PC I've owned has always had a charged backup battery straight out of the box. Have got the unit on the charger and will check the backup battery status after 4 hours (should be enough to show at least 25% charge). Comments or suggestions?

Update:

The backup battery does seem to be taking a charge so we'll see how it does after the main battery is fully charged.

That's normal when the main battery isn't installed, after a while the backup battery drains.

My Mini came with a bit of charge in the main battery, but no charge in the backup battery. That would be normal, as after a while, the backup would run out.

An overnight recharge charged it right up, and I have never had a low backup battery warning since the first time I turned it on.

Same thing happened with my x50v. All is well now, tho...
