View Full Version : Noticeable slowdowns on dlls move to ROM

Recently I tried Tweak2k2 and its feature to move some dlls to ROM to free RAM.

Unfortunately, since it moved PI dlls, I've noticed a sizeable slowdown of PI operation.

Did you notice it too?

It's because it's slower than the normal RAM.

It's one of those natural laws that keep bitting us in the butt. There's no free lunch, ROM is slower than RAM but RAM is volitile. If you fix BT to have greater BW and Range you get WiFi capabilities and the associated extra power drain, If you beam your data over the air it's more convenient but not as secure as wires. You want instant on, you get constant power drain...lots of tradeoffs like that.
