This is what I have been waiting to see, an ambitious use of Flash on PocketPC

http://www.exlib.no/

ExLib is a complete exercise library showing videos of exercises being completed, muscle groups used. It also has an exercise diary where you can keep a record of your workouts including comments.

This is a free application. If you want a serious workout tool and a way to show off the multimedia capabilities of your PDA then this is for you.

Be aware that this is a 16 Mb + installation, but I tested it on my SD card and it runs fine from there.

I found this app as it was one of the winners in a competition held by Macromedia to showcase Flash on PDAs. You can download all of the winners here

And you can find out more about the competition here

The other entries are good, but I think ExLib is great. I don't understand why "Temples of Taipei" won the Grand Prize, it's just typical stuff - but then I am only a simple multimedia/training developer, not a judge :-)

Beat me to it. ;)

I posted on this competition months ago, but only recently were the winners announced. Later in the day, check for a front page post which I queued up a few hours ago. In my opinion, the winning Flash submissions are fantastic! :D

Ahhh - nice to see it on the front page. I think Flash will take off on devices in a big way in the next few months, so I am looking forward to seeing some great stuff.

... Also looking forward to *doing* some too, but that's a whole other story :-)
