As is the case for most other countries, the HP hw6515 will soon launch in Thailand and Pocket PC Thai have gotten their hands on one for their own preview. Unfortunately, their device didn't include any mapping software to test the GPS with, but they were pleased with the dual functions of the various buttons, the easily accessible profiles menu, and the screen cover. As always, there's no shortage of photographs, so if you're considering this device, hop on over and enjoy.

Urm, isn't HP6315 old news? You mean 6515? :)

For some reason the basic shape and screen reminds me of the RAZRberry mock up that has been floating around.

hmmm...

Now that Windows Mobile supports square screens, we're going to see more devices like this that are designed for messaging. All the better I say!

Ok, there's this pic (http://www.pocketpcthai.com/images/events/050627/IMGP3562.JPG), but other than that I saw no mention of a cover. However, I don't read Thai, so that part may have eluded me.

IIRC, it does have a screen cover (much like the hx4700's) - although that may have been a feature restricted to the pre-release models. I'm still waiting for those who receive their device post-July 1st to chime in and tell us what's hot and what's not.

Almost the same size as the BenQ P50 and that has WiFi and a 240x320 screen. I think the appeal of this would really be the GPS module... which is of no use to me (sadly)... Really hope a WM5.0 ver with WiFi is under works. Nice pictures though... and it seems HTC used a better sensor for the camera (well, it looks better than the Magician's images).

Right, I don't have the link handy, but Dave's iPaq did a preview of the device as well that showed the screen cover as well.
