i got both the motorola v3 razr and a v635... i can pair them with my ipaq 2210 no problem. but when i try to do the dialup GPRS networking, they don't work... whenever i try the motorola v551 it works fine... even any other phone works fine...

is there any kind of security patch that i need to get? or is it just a known issue for those 2 phones?

thanks in advanced

Are you on Telus.
To use the 1X network you would need a data plan for EACH phone.
I am assuming you don't as the cost would be rediculous.
Telus will screen the phone based on ESN which is also your password.

I can't help with this, since I'm assuming you have the connections properly configured for access on each phone (mirroring the V551). However, I had to comment - a company actually requires a separate data plan for each physical phone? Since the subscriber is tied by the SIM, how can they possibly justify this? You can't possbily use 2 phones at the same time.

I thought US carriers were overly greedy!!

I noticed he had written GPRS after so that may be my fault.
That is why I wanted to clarify carriers.
Telus is CDMA and requires a plan per phone.
If it is GSM then I assume he would just swap SIMs
